Due to continued growth, Birmingham Rail & Locomotive Company always has need for experienced personnel in the following areas.

• Industrial Electricians and Diesel Mechanics. All applicants should possess a minimum of 2 to 3 years work experience in their job field. Electricians should have working knowledge of PLC, motor control, and electronics; as well as the ability to read schematics. Diesel Mechanics should have verifiable mechanical experience. All applicants should have troubleshooting capabilities, good work ethics, a willingness to work varied shifts and/or some weekends, some travel and a desire to learn.
  
  
• Sales persons for Locomotives, parts and service. A qualified candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, minimum of 5-10 years experience in locomotive sales and marketing and must be capable of expanding existing business as well as creating new business. Exceptional communication and organizational skills are required. Responsibilities will include: Expand business with existing industrial and railroad customers, which includes mobile site service and repairs, new and rebuilt locomotive component sales and locomotive sales and leasing. Identify used locomotive assets or parts for purchase; negotiate sales and leases of locomotives.
  
  
• Sales persons for Crane Rail and Track Material. Self-motivated individual should have the ability to research and contact prospective customers and solicit orders for crane rail and track material products. Candidate needs to have the ability to communicate effectively and develop qualified leads. Background in the Steel or Overhead Material Handling Industry is preferred. Must have excellent telephone skills and an outgoing personality as well as computer experience and good math skills.
